What do Patrick Flanigan and the F-22 Raptor have in common? SPEED! And, they were both part of one the biggest air shows in America: The McDonald’s Air & Sea Show at Fort Lauderdale, Florida early this month. It is estimated that nearly four million people attended the show over its duration. Among hundreds of air show regular events was a flying demonstration by one of the fastest, most exciting and newest fighter jets ever: the F22 Raptor. With afterburners on it flies at greater than Mach 2 (about 1,500 mph). On the giant video screens at the event was footage of Patrick Flanigan -- with his own afterburners ablaze -- shooting his now world famous 12 shots in 1.442 seconds with a Winchester Super X3 Shotgun. In fighter jets and shotguns, speed counts.
