World record broken by Raniero Testa with Super X3. 12 targets. Hand thrown. Shot individually.
Congratulations Raniero Testa on smashing the World Record.
The previous record of 11 was also held by the Super X3 and was set several years ago by a different shooter. Many thought that the 11 bird record would never be broken. It takes an extraordinary shooter to even come close. Testa set the record in front of a full panel of witnesses at the "Circolo Arcera" in Italy on July 11th, 2012. The witnesses included:
A notary
Three FITAV judges -- Federazione Italiana Tiro a Volo ( The official Italian sporting organization)
Gianluca Muoio (world trench shooting champion)
Other personalities from the world of shooting
The achievement was filmed by two cameras present on site.
Congratulations Ranireo for breaking the record and doing it with the fastest shotgun in the world. He is an exhibition shooter representing Winchester throughout Europe. Mr. Testa does not speak a great deal of English but he does know how to say "SX3" and "fast." And he does know how to handle his Super X3.
This video -- produced by our team in the United Kingdom -- shows Testa in action breaking the record and performing some exhibition shooting.
