Winchester Repeating Arms Launches Its Ranger High Grade Nickel & Ranger High Grade Lever-Action Rifles

Published Janurary 21,  by Winchester Staff

A kingpin in the lever-action arena, Winchester Repeating Arms gives plinkers and small-game goers a pair of all-new rifles for 2026 in the Ranger High Grade Nickel and Ranger High Grade. At a glance, both lever-action .22 LR rifles look like they belong in a scabbard or held across the lap of a western frontiersman atop a trusty mount. A classic Winchester lever-action is a symbol of American history. Whether you’re looking for a .22 LR for a first-time shooter or wanting to add to your own collection, the Ranger High Grade Nickel and Ranger High Grade are excellent choices.

With a magazine capacity of 15 rounds, a barrel length of 20 inches, and an overall length of 37-1/4 inches, the Ranger High Grade Nickel fits most any shooter. The LOP is 13 inches, and the rifle weighs under 5-1/2-pounds, which means any shooter can tote this lever-action around the range or woods all day.

The Grade II walnut stock with straight-grip styling is stunning, and the polished-nickel finished receiver grabs the eye and doesn’t let go. The action has been engineered with light operating force for quick action. The receiver is grooved for optic mounts, but the Ranger High Grade Nickel comes out of the box with a hooded front sight and adjustable rear sight.

Fifty dollars less than the Ranger High Grade Nickel, Winchester Repeating Arms’ Ranger High Grade boasts all the same features as the Nickel but with a gloss-blued receiver finish.

Perfect for small-game missions, punching paper, or pinging steel, the Ranger High Grade, like the Nickel, features a single screw takedown. This allows the user, whether in the field or at home, to disassemble the rifle for quick, easy cleaning or compact storage. With this dynamic lever-action duo, Winchester Repeating Arms shows its commitment to lever-action excellence and its desire to remain THE lever-action kingpin.
