2026 SHOT Show Special – The Xpert Thumbhole Target SR from Winchester Repeating Arms is now available in three magnum rimfire calibers: 17 WSM, 17 HMR, and 22 WMR. Combining accuracy, dependability, and style in a lightweight bolt-action package, the Xpert features a precision Rimfire M.O.A. Trigger, button-rifled bull barrel with Bentz-style chamber, and laminated wood stock. 1/2" x 28 TPI threaded muzzle with knurled thread protector.

Overview

Featuring a great looking laminated stock with adjustable comb, Winchester Repeating Arms looks to dominate the rimfire bolt-action market, and varmints, with the Xpert Thumbhole Target SR.

When designing the Xpert, we put our sights on accuracy and added features to help you get the most from the rifle. Foremost is the Rimfire M.O.A. Trigger. Like the trigger found in Model 70 and XPR rifles, the Rimfire M.O.A. Trigger is a three-lever design that with zero creep, zero take-up and zero-over travel for a light pull that breaks like glass. The Xpert also features a precision button-rifled barrel with a target crown and semi-match Bentz chamber. A hemispherical firing pin offers improved reliability with rimfire ammunition.

A Picatinny optics rail is included. The controls have been designed to be easy to use for most shooters. The bolt handle is extended, adding extra leverage to make operating the bolt easier. The Safety is tucked into the rear of receiver and within easy reach. Dual, ambidextrous magazine releases on the sides and bottom of the rifle give this shooter options and are designed to deliver the magazine into your hand.
